• Glad boli and Trini were the final two.

Trini have a small line up but are fantastic Marca...a mild one...but very enjoyable...the Roubsto T is the best imho, still have no clue why cut it out.

I'd suggest the Fundi too as Mike said.

• Knew it would be over by this morning. Good game & interesting results, how many smoke Boli's, even a handful of Boli's a year? I don't see many posted. Trini's are a fine alternative to Cohiba's, I'd say med rather than mild.
Does anyone know the the previous top 3 results were, at the end of earlier games?

do you know, I am a sucker for Cohiba too but I do resent the mark up just enough to annoy me. They are different, they are at a better quality (IMHO), but they arent always worth the extra bucks. One of the gems of the last year has been the medio siglo... great characterful little smoke.
Yeah I know. But they are pretty good smokes most of the time. Didn't like the Medio Siglo but it was probably a little too young for me. I'm trying to add boxes on a regular basis but it isn't easy to source the ones that I'm missing at a decent price.

1st - Hoyo
2nd - Bolivar
3rd - Partagas

Interesting that Bolivar has been runner up again #ForeverTheBridesmaid!

True, I have quite a few Bolis but rarely smoke any. But that is because I'm aging a lot of them and I have a few rare singles that I cherish and I can't bring myself to light them up.

• What a competition it was this year, some real surprises, and a clear shift with the old guard 'Hoyo/Cohiba/Partagas/Monte' all suffering earlier defeats, and the 'local' Marca's storming it this year!

I guess this weekend i shall be smoking a Trinidad! To be honest, I was plucking for bolivar which i have found over the past year to be a more reliable and consistent smoke - i know what i am going to get when i smoke one. I have found Trinis to be a bit hit and miss with both flavour and construction last year, which for their price point is not acceptable!

I agree, that's why I never buy them blind. Got a box of Fundadores in Germany this month and paid a lot for it, much more than on the interweb. But I got a really nice box and it was worth the mark up.

confess to rarely smoking Boli. I think Boli has won out once or twice before?

Vigia all the live long day buddy. It's an absolute belter of a cigar. If you're in Spain they're very reasonably priced at around ?11-?12 a stick.
The Robusto T (now discontinued) was a smooth beauty too. The Vigia is a worthy replacement IMO

• Definitely agree Stevieboy the Vigia all day long.
Although my smoke of last year was a Topes gifted to me from my SS, thank you whoever you are! The Topes are bloody hard to get hold of though.

Hard to get hold of..... At a reasonable price

Around the time of release I found a load of boxes in Portugal and only bought one as they were a bit pricier than I thought they'd be in Spain ( I was going there a few weeks later).... Not a sausage in Spain, not one. That was a big regret only buying the one box...tit!

Ha ha. Indeed! I was lucky to find a box back in December. Very lucky. I don't travel enough and I'm a pauper [emoji16]

My wife always says if you see something and you want it. Don't delay. She was a bit shocked when I read that one back to her then lol price was good though.
