• Vitola's Smoking Den - or MLW Summerhouse.....

Yes definitely recommended.... at first I used just the Blueair on its own and it gets rid of all the smoke...though I noticed after 24 hours smoking a cigar, the very slightest hint of stale tobacco in the room. We have always used Lampe Berger purifiers in the home they have been making oil purifiers for 120 years and they are the most effective purifier in the home I?ve come across. ( just google how does a Lampe Berger work) The lamp gets rid of that last few % of staleness and freshens the room. I would recommend using both

    • I've shown MLW. She's very impressed. There is hope yet. You don't know how much hope you have generated from this project!

      That is a great space.

Cheers ha_banos I?m glad it has helped to inspire. My inspiration to do this project originally came from Peejay - thanks John.

If any of you are visiting the South West near to Bath - you?re welcome to pop in for a smoke or two

I reckon for clearing the site, the foundation, electrics, building itself & insulation we have spent in the region of 8k. If you include ancillaries like furnishing, air con/purification etc.....that’s probably another 3k

                    • Final Phases

Well as I said earlier - we decided to name the summer house - and had a plaque made in slate - nice finishing touch!

Finally, started the remaining jobs on the roof, fitting the weather boards - really adds a nice finishing touch. Over the next few weeks will look to get the final insulation/board and shingles to finish off. Any internal gaps inside have been sealed with caulk, and insulation strips added to door/window openings - nice and cosy.

                        • Indeed, amazing. I assume your planning to live there for another 10yrs or so, to get the most from your considerable investment?

That's a very valid issue Simon, I've told MLW that moving is out of the question now!
