I know we share the love of cigars, but I wondered if anyone shares any other hobbies.

Mine is below. Started when I was 13 and then bass for a band at 17 until I was 22. Then picked it back up this year after 12 years not picking a guitar up, currently getting myself upto speed again.

    Slowly lol

I have an acoustic, with the intention of learning to play. But never ever get round to it. So respect to all those who have hobbies!

My "spare" hobby time goes into programming/building IT stuff, crossfit, motorcycle. What little time I do have that is...
      .--
I think I may finally have this CAD under control...

Next time we meet up we can have a Jam lol. I self taught myself a lot from the people around me. The advice they gave me was learn the stuff I needed for the music I wanted to play, then add more complex bits too it later.

Mind you I only wanted to place skate punk so I only needed to learn power chords, octave leads, pick slides and a little drop d lol. Probably the easiest music to play ever

I'm into vintage comic books and original art. But most of my free time is spent watching films and updating Letterboxd with missing information. I like Japanese films from the 50s to the late 70s the most but am also into European films from the same time period, 70s to 90s Hong Kong and American films from the 40s to the late 70s.

Original comic book art? I have a couple of sketches by Carlos Martyn Burgos.., they are awesome. Otherwise I do collect art too....

And Japanese satsuma porcelain from the Meiji period. Love it. That aside I shoot and play cricket .... separately!!

Satsuma porcelain is just crying out for a pun but I can't think of one at the moment!

Sweet! I stopped a few years ago when prices shoot up too high but have at least one page of most artists I like.

Satsuma porcelain? There's some very good looking stuff among those. I like those vases a lot!

I?m lucky enough to have spent my professional life with my hobby as my career. First as an actor/singer (West End/Touring), then (and still on occasion) producing/directing productions, mainly on tour and now very happily an artistic consultant, which mainly involves voice/acting coaching. Cigars are a welcome distraction from my main hobby AKA work!

I must have too much spare time then, or put another way I make the most of every day.

Besides cigars, which has been a relatively recent pastime in the last couple of years, other hobbies include astronomy - but it can get damn cold at night sometimes. Fly fishing - I go fishing occasionally alone, but not so much now, as my main fishing partner is very ill now and can?t fish anymore. My main passion is playing the guitar really badly, I must get some lesssons, and listening to music - an avid audiophile by all accounts. Cigar collecting has certainly taken over from the Hi-Fi now

Love the astronomy picture - is that the Horsehead Nebula? You'll have to give me some tips. When ever I try to take photos I just end up with blurry streaks of light......or the photos are just washed out.

I make my own flies to 'chuck' as well. Although not so much nowadays. I still have so many flies in my arsenal of boxes that have never seen so much as a puddle, let alone come face to face with a fish - perish the thought

Yes, Horsehead Nebula. Do you have a mount? More than happy to share my information with you. If you fancy a day of fly fishing we sometimes head up to Lechlade. More than happy to give you a shout when we next take a trip.

Thanks! I might take you up on the fishing invite - I am only around 40 mins from Lechlade.....
Are you going to try and photograph the Superblood Wolf Moon this morning? The last one until 2029 I think....

I spent almost 35 years in fly fishing and classic salmon flytying. Since 2006 though, I?ve spent most of my time in the air in my paraglider[emoji41]
