When I manage to escape work (which often includes some of my interests including cigars), other than enjoying cigars, snooker, shooting, motorcycles and cars are my interests.

Simon since we last spoke ive also done paragliding I'm keen to try paramotor now...

I also enjoy fly fishing. Lovely activity on a warm day.

      Kite building anyone?

My other main hobby is amateur radio. I have an exquisite radio fit from the Lancaster bomber...R1155/T1154. Works well and gets a fair bit of use. All in Morse code.

Hi everyone, my main hobby is car related things, mainly endurance motorsport but also like the usual Touring Cars and F1.

I go to Le Mans on a Bi-annual basis. It's hard to describe the feeling I get when I'm there. I suppose it's a bit like a football fan at a world cup final or the final day of Wimbledon. Even non-car people can enjoy it as there is a tonne of things to do. Sitting in a little fold out chair on a grassy bank watching the sun come up on a Sunday morning with v8's and flat 6's screaming passed you is just brilliant.

I imported a Honda Integra Type R from Japan in 2017. One of my attainable dream cars. I love it and love a good B road blast. It only comes out when its dry, which isnt that often up here but it makes the experience of driving it a bit more special.

Motorsport for me, though after a very bad crash in a 24hr race at Spa in 2017, MrsB is keen for me to tone it down a notch or two.

My biggie is amateur radio. G4YVM is my callsign of the past 40 years. My pride is a ww2 radio set from the Lancaster /Halifax aircraft. R1155/T1154

              I also paint watercolours.

Want to have a bash at paramotor flying

Morse - now that's a lost art. Back in the 80s I had to learn it. Recently came across a training cassette tape (what that?!) in the garage - 14 wpm 'plus noise' (interference etc). What rate do serious aficionados manage these days?

So do I! Not going down this year but will be next year - it?ll be very interesting once the new regulations kick in. We should coordinate next years trip.

[emoji16] Le Mans friend! Yeah hoping the new regs liven things up. In a dream world we would go back to the Group C days but I will settle for a hyper car class.

13/14 hour each way for us. The drive home is absolutely stinking! The person I go with gets married on 28 June this year. I've politely asked he keeps it in his pants on honeymoon to ensure next years trip goes as planned!!

The G50 has been sold now. I have a Boxster built for endurance racing and rent a G55 when I want something quicker / a change.

Indeed, it?s the o my way to do it!

Usually camp at the private Speedchills campsite at Beausejour as it?s got lots of warm, clean showers, clean toilets, marquee and bar.

Really good value actually and while we went ?catered? last time, we?ve got enough people to pull off the ?seasoned pro? setup with fridges, bbq?s etc so that?s the plan for next time.

Outside of the secure campsite is like a war zone though, 2 bogs and 20,000 people setting stuff on fire and blowing things up!

Call me a snob but I like to know my stuff is still going to be there after a day at the track!
