2004 I went to a cigar shop in Larnaca. Bought a small selection of Cubans including a few Cohiba. Soon after bringing them home I started to suspect they were fake as I learned more. Took them into Mitch who confirmed the Cohiba were fakes. The others were fine.

So I got hit right at the start of my cigar career. And by one of my own so to speak.

Can't find a cigar shop listed on maps there any more. Good riddance.

I think I may finally have this CAD under control...

That's a pretty good price for a box of BHK 52s.

So to the well known saying, 'Beware of Greeks bearing gifts' we can add selling Behikes too!

If people are still buying the glass top Cohibas you can be sure the cellophane BHK's will go.

I saw some of these in Dubai a few weeks ago, just laughed when the guy started with the sales pitch

Saw this on FB the other day. Might be helpful to spot fakes.

Poor guy. He was probably just on his break from the Cohiba Factory!

Do You know are those tell-tale signs for all current Cohiba's or is that just for the Behike Mike?

If I remember this correctly the Tanino head is printed on the white squares on regular Cohibas, the white squares are not cut like on the BHKs.

I am deep into Cohibas, never got a fake one. But I have always purchased mine from trusted vendors or people that I trust. I never buy any from those FB groups unless I know that the vendor is someone that I can trust.
