  • half empty boxes conundrum

I guess like many I have a singles humidor and then separate storage for boxes. Some of the boxes are full, but some have been dipped into. My question is when you get to a point with a box or cab when you decide that the time has come to transfer what is left into the singles humidor? I've actually just bought a scubador with the intention of putting unopened boxes in that and keeping the winedor for part open boxes because at present the winedor is rammed.

I do it the other way around. I have a ton of singles and transfer them into boxes that I have broken into as soon as there's enough space. It makes it tough to find a particular single that I'm looking for but I don't know where else to put them.

If I've got space I'll leave them in their original boxes but if space is tight I'll put them in the drawers of my wee cabinets.
I like to display as much as possible

I've got stuff hidden everywhere, If I split a box, I'll often bang the split into a partial box and forget about them til I go rooting through.
        All good fun.

Say you've got 2 partial boxes, combine them, anything that doesn't fit in one box goes into the desktop.

I like humidors so I have seven singles humidors and three cubes so plenty of room for singles

I used my half boxes and add my singles into... especially the ones I don't want to touch.

I've started putting excess singles into half-empty/empty boxes and storing them in the Scubador. I tend to send cigars out to people in cigar boxes as well if I have any spare at the time.

Desk top humis for singles... (currently running at 3)
10+ box splits into boxes & purchased boxes go int the wine-ador

Let them linger in their homes until I am done...

All my boxes in the humidors have only one stick in each, - this is the only way I can impress this forum and state that no box is empty...

                      hilarious!!!
I confess to having some boxes that are classier than their contents! Most of my CR's are.. by happy accident in a mixture of Cohiba and Behike boxes picked up from JJ Fox. They always seem to have empty boxes and for a donation to the charity box they seem happy to part with them.

Thanks for all the replies. Perhaps I need to seek help for my OCD, as I don't really like the thought of putting cigars into the 'wrong' boxes.

Agreed but I sometimes do if it's the same brand... But only sometimes e.g. if space is at a premium

I use half empty/empty boxes to house a selection of sticks from trades and splits then they go in my wineador. I use CCW to track my collection and details of what box they are in and where in the wineador the box is goes in the comments box so I can always find them easy.
