if you can get those for the original tenner a stick guide ... i'm in for a few boxes of each
@Kickback you may be better off trying to buy into box splits for a while... likely you can access a few sticks with a bit of age on them which will be at and around your target budget.

For the tenner a stick everyday guide... I'd say Upmann HC as a short, worthy smoke.

A box of 25 wont kill the bank, take half out and pop them into your humi. Stick the other half in the box into a tupperware/ lock n lock box with a boveda and try to forget you own them. If you smoke through the desktop sticks as you try other things they should last you a few months at least... and I'll bet you'll see a difference between stick one, stick 6 and stick 12. Try letting them settle in your humi for a month if you can, particularly if they have had to travel to you via the post etc. If I jump straight on a stick them moment it lands I tend to regret it - sounds daft but a bit of acclimatisation seems to count for something. From my experience you will notice a difference in them inside of 3-6 months, and again in 12-15 months and onwards.

As for the ones in your new plastic humidor (tupperware/locknlock box) they will be different again. I've found the HUHC to be one of the sticks that react positively and to a noteworthy extent in a relatively short period.

    Good luck

It looks like Cubans aren't for you, you can stick with them and see if your palate develops. Monti No2 and SD4 would have been the one's id have recommended but they are on your list already.

See if you can try a Ramon Allones Club Allones 2015. Not sure if they are sub ?20 and not really an everyday cigar but one I found particularly interesting flavour wise (chocolate'y)

        Ok thanks all.
Lots added to my next pending order from our sponsor. Will see how I get on.
RACA 2015 out of stock unfortunately.
I'm also completely out of cigars having smoked my last one today. Have to wait till next week when wife is going away before I can get a restock order delivered.

Going to be difficult laying the CC down for a few months / years. Will have to get some NC to tide me over.

Not sure if these have been mentioned already? Have you tried any of these, they smoke fine young to my palate, but also improve with ageing

Just seen this thread. Looking at the list of cigars you have tried it may well be that CC are not for as there are some nice cigars on that list.
Curious to know if you have tried a Partags short? For me a real benchmark cuban cigar. Yes it's a short smoke but I always find it very reliable if your looking for something unmistakabably cuban

I have a long (expensive ) list of CC for my next order next week. Giving all the classics recommended another shot and will try and keep them for at least a year before setting light. Will have to get some immediately burnable sticks of NC too as I'm not waiting a few years without a cigar waiting for the CC buggers to mature.

Some very kind person has contacted me to bomb me an aged CC. I am gobsmacked at this persons generosity and will certainly sort something out to repay in kind.

A generous BOLT indeed. I was about to post I could make you up a selection of the cigars suggested, all aged in the Boli Cave, for a price way less than buying then from UK sources. Give the single a try 7 if you find it more pleasant than one you have tried shop fresh, then send me a PM. We can't have you writing off C./C.'s until you have tried the best! BBF, Party Short, Monte No2, RASCC, Party SdCNo3, ect.

I dont think Cubans are going to be your thing mate,Oliva V and DE Undercrown are way stronger in nicotine than just about all CCs in my opinion. The BBF RASS and Partagas SD4 are all pretty strong and last about an hour each

I don't like nicotine in my cigars, I like flavour.

I do have some NC too so can get on with just those if I need to give the CC time to mature.
