This is one of the most ridiculous ideas since the brexit vote!

I'll say it first. Only in America?

What’s ridiculous? No talking, drinking, no relights, not putting cigar down, no leaving the table… plus things like “Minutiae” while dancing of the edge of not smoking?

I see quite a few Americans on r/cigars subreddit not ashing some quite large cigars. For me that's pointless. I want to enjoy my cigar without the worrying about getting ash all over me or smoking it awkwardly just to get a cool photo [emoji849]

there is of course the world cigar smoker competition (I think the guy at the start of the video has been 'world champion' before) which is an annual celebration of slow smoking...

I guess the fast smoking one is won by Laurence Sautter and his infamously 'chewy' approach to getting through substantial sticks. I've never fully understood the point... sit here and let these people watch and time you as you barely smoke a cigar... but it seems to get quite a lot of coverage in the cigar comics...

I confess I didn't watch the whole clip... too many dreadful cigar 'holds' and what look to be grown men wearing hats indoors... ... those yankies have no decorum
