  • There's quite a few cigar brands...

I haven't counted. But how does one navigate all these brands!?

I think I may finally have this CAD under control...

I was having similar thoughts browsing a NC shop yesterday. All these brands can also have loads of different lines which are very different blends and flavours so the choice is huge.

I spend hours browsing, always buy singles and rarely get the same cigars twice.

This is why I like NC's; you never know what you're going to get. With Cubans you usually have an idea what the flavour profile will be based on the brand.

That's like going to a friends house and finding it full of strangers...

Oh I'm with you on hating parties, it's definitely not like a party; I see it more like being a kid in the sweets section of woolworths in the 90s.

I wonder how they manage all these blends, the majority of the cigars are made in 3-5 factories .

Ha. The pic'n'mix. Do they have a broken cigars section, like they did for biscuits? Fill a bag with sticks, five Bob.

Haha, never saw that; I never ventured into the biscuit section.

There used to be a certain cuban vendor who did a random seconds pack of sticks which had various wrapper damage. They were a serious bargain if you were handy with cigar glue and wrapper repair. Used to get Siglo 6's, Coros, all sorts. Most just had cracked feet, but all were repairable.

Very loose list & plenty of info missing e.g. Belinda is listed but without any info or origin. Maybe when I retire, I could add to such a page but life's too busy now, for sure! But for my purposes, if it's not on the Cuban Info site, I am probably not smoking it (pre-rev brands being exceptions).

I honestly can't remember his name because I don't buy Cubans from the USA, I just recall seeing his posts every now and again, i think he refers to them as 'bumps and dents' sales or similar. The group is C.A.S.T.
