  • Calling All Geeks!

After looking up Pit Bull dogs on the google machine, I got the following message on my iPhone:

    ?seciosvpn.com says
    Your iPhone Has Been Compromised
    Immediate Action is Required!?

I did some research on the message but nada!

Anyone around these parts know anything about it?

How did you receive the message?

Pop up on the web site = dodgy website

Might want to run a malware check on your phone.

I think I may finally have this CAD under control...

It just popped up on Chrome when I opened it . Now, it it appears every time I open Chrome and won?t go away, even after a reboot. BTW, it does not appear on Safari. See pic below.

Teej.....it sound like you've granted permission to something by mistake. Can you look at Chrome in your Apps list and revoke all permissions/defaults? I know this works on Android devices so might be similar on iOS.....

A mystery wrapped in a taco!

            Hey Se?or stevietheboy!

I haven?t installed anything recently. I looked at Chrome in settings and didn?t see anything regarding ?permissions.? It popped up after I closed down a website on Pitbulls and reopened Chrome.

What do you think would happen if I clicked on ?OK??

Hey KB, I know how to do that in Safari (settings, Safari, clear history), but not Chrome - no option in settings to ?clear history/cookies.?

Indeed! This wasn?t the first time I?ve turned to the UKCF Geeks for tech solutions. They never fail to find a solution.

Stand and take a bow, lads!
