    Hey Everyone,

After I nearly collapsed from the rather large unbanded cigar I had yesterday, I decided to kick of this topic that is on my mind for half a year now.

What happend? I used to smoke mostly large cigars. 6x60, Churchills, DCs etc. A small cigar always left me longing for more, while a larger format got me to the perfect state of satisfaction. However, due to the cold in winter, I usually smoke shorter ones. So I did this winter. But something changed. I felt completely fine after a short cigar and did not long for another one.

As summer came, I noticed that I kept reaching for my short stack and left the larger formats in the humidor. Even now in summer, I find a large cigar getting a bit too much in the last third and I simply don't enjoy it as much any more. (mostly, not always)

Has anybody a similar experience? I would have expected over the years to build rather more resilience to nicotine than the other way around.

Has this happened to anybody else? Or is it just me?

I tried to like larger ring gauges, but don't have the time and felt rushed and naturally went back to my favourite size, the petit coronas

I could smoke a DC every summer evening, but the few times I’ve done it so far, I’ve been interrupted and found myself in a situation where a Robusto or corona would have sufficed

I've gone the other way, I started smoking robusto and having one in an evening would suffice but now I need to smoke a few before I feel that I've had a smoke. Luckily I don't smoke every day but when I do I normally have 3-5 and that could include a DC. The only way I can manage it is to try and smoke the milder smokes first.

The other terrible thing is when you are smoking with friends and you are smoking different length of cigars so you end up lighting up when they have only smoked a third and then they light up as you are halfway and so forth...a dangerous loop!!

I have always much preferred a larger ring size cigar apart from the RyJ Churchill for which I have a soft spot.
