Simple: they apparently analyzed some cohibas and found excess amounts of ascorbic acid

ascorbic acid is otherwise thought of as synthetic vitamin c... baffling, although excessive vit c is thought to be a health worry... !!

there was I about to smoke an orange/ lemon!

That's quite bizarre given smoking reduces vit c and can be a cause of issues relayed to lack of vit c.
Would have thought it would be a benefit since smokers are recommended to take vit c tablets.

All these bans are a bunch of nonsense. People telling other people what they can and cant do with their own bodies. I see the evening standard is campaigning for marijuana legalization this week. About time too. Such a waste of public money.

Its all the same thing, drugs tobacco alcohol, sugar tax, gay marriage. I dont like it so you cant have it either. Kindly piss off please!

I can almost understand the argument when you have publicly funded healthcare. People argue that they are paying for the health costs in their taxes, but in countries where there is no real public health care even that argument falls away.

Not a good idea amongst friends but the Nanny State is always a fair target!
