  • Travelling to Budapest, Hungary

    Hi Folks.

I'm travelling to Budapest in Hungary at the end of August for my stag do and wanting to bring a few nice cigars with me.

I'm a relatively novice cigar smoker and dont have the free cash at the moment to invest in a travel humidor. I generally dont travel enough to get full use of it anyway.

Looking for a few tips on how to travel with cigars, cutters, lighters, and how best to store without a proper travel humidor, etc. I'll have a cabin bag to carry on and also a 10kg bag to check into the luggage hold.

    Thanks!
    Steven

Just chuck them in some tuperware with a boveda bag and they'll be absolutely fine. Cutters and any jet lighters in your carry on luggage to make sure they don't get taken off you.

Or there's eBay travel humidor options from about ?2 that would do the job

Maybe take a nice big one to bring some sticks back ! [emoji16] http://habanosnews.habanos.com/en/ha...uita-del-medio

You should be fine, but might be worth getting one that locks shut and airtight.

Thanks fr the advice folks, I feel a lot more confident now in travelling with my chosen cigars.

They're too expensive to risk damaging or confiscating!

I'll let you know how I get on.

            Thanks

I always put cutter in hold luggage and lighters in a plastic bag with the liquids. If you don't 99 times out of 100 you'll see the tray do the slide of Doom behind the glass.... Then the waiting begins!

Cigars are far more durable than people think, don't sweat it they'll survive out of the humi for quite a while in a sealed container.
