Do you guys leave them on the boxes you buy or do you take them off. I hate the way they look on the boxes and wondered if there was a trick to removing them ??

I always take them off. If they're really sticky I take the cigars out then use a hairdryer to soften the glue. Then use Zippo petrol lighter fluid...zero odour or residue. Works 100%

It depends on where the boxes are from how in your face the stickers are, I'm surprisingly lacking in many of the bad ones. But the boxes I've had I've used a hair dryer and slowly pealed them, leaves some residue but not a lot if you're careful and slow with it.

On wooden boxes the hairdryer method is best... Dress boxes forget it, just turns into a mess

Well there's a tip, never thought of that Steve, very tempting to give it ago.

There's honestly no smell. I was very sceptical the first time but the result is amazing. Some of the worst offenders are the NL and French releases. The recent Dutch Por Larra?aga had stickers that covered about 80% of the box. It was pictures of amours and black lungs. Minging!!

Those images put me right off my cigars... lol

I guess that is the idea, so I remove them as well, nice tip on the fluid I will try it next time.

I just dump the cigars in the humidor and burn the boxes on the fire.

                        Glitter? Stickers? Dried flowers perhaps?

I used to pull them off. Now I simply don't care anymore and throw them into storage the way they arrive.
