• South East Herf

Having met with grumpybaldy today we decided another herf is in order before winter sets in. I'm open to suggestions, but the Squirrel at Hurtmore which is about 10 minutes south of Guildford, just off the A3 is one possibility or the Tup in Guildford. Both have covered smoking areas and both offer food. The Squirrel has it's own parking and the Tup is within walking distance of Guildford train station. Open to other suggestions and I'm happy to travel.

At present I am free on the following dates in September - Sat 7, 14 and 28 and Sunday 15, 22 and 29.

I would suggest an 11.30 - 12.00 start which would allow time for a cigar before having something to eat and then time for a second cigar as dessert.

SE Herf - Sunday 29th September

Sunday 29th it is then!
As an alternative to a pub, you would be welcome to come to Liphook for a BBQ, however if the weather isn't great I only have a 3m x 3m pop up gazebo or the garage to smoke in.

This sounds like there may be a misconception among new(ish) members - there is no need to know ANYTHING about cigars! Conversations are far more wide-ranging and jokes are ALWAYS valued over cigar geekery!

Unfortunately not mate! We come in via St Malo then tend to hug the west coast.

I?m in! Location I?m open to, throwing another in the mix (but no covered smoking area - The Cricketers Farncombe. Having said that, I?ve been spoilt with the previous ones being on my doorstep in Guildford so happy to drive to a suitable venue!

Your new local Tom? Not a bad pub to be fair. I'd avoid the White Hart, but the 3 Lions, commonly known as the Scratchers is also worth a look.
