Im travelling to thailand in 8 weeks and want to take a good stack of smokes to enjoy. Im wondering if its worth picking up a few boxes in dubai to take out with a boveda bag to store them in whilst there. Has anyone got any experience on the price and quality of sticks before i take the plunge? i have seen mixed reviews some saying they can be poorly stored and high prices.

I can take 30-40 from my humi or buy a few boxes to take but space will be tight in cases etc and i dont want to risk damaging anything, If i dont take any att all i may be forced to pay for substandard sticks. and that would't be cricketing, not on my honeymoon

i dont want anything particularly flash some h upmann corona juniors and some robustos would be ideal...

will be in bangkok for about 3 days but i know prices are high so dubai i think is my best bet

If you know you?re going through Dubai airport get the customer service email, their service is second to none for duty free at least!

Drop them an email and they?ll be able to let you know stock and prices and hold boxes for you to pick up if needed.

Thats a good shout cheers, i will have a look for it. it would save the hassle if i could just ppick them up as the transfer is only about 3 hours, wich isnt much time in DXB

Edit: just emailed them, see what they come back with

They usually have plenty of stock, and whilst their prices have gone up a little in the last few years, they are still good value for money. If you email them, they may be able to dig out some older boxes for you.

Don't get caught out and leave yourself having to buy in Thailand. It is just as expensive as here.
Take them with you or make sure you pick some up in DXB.

sounds like your talking from experience, i have been to bangkok before but didnt smoke, from what i can gather online cigars can be found but in the over hyped, over priced sky bars and lounges so definately something i want to avoid. From bangkok it will be up to chang moi and down to koh chang..not a chance on koh chang so ideally i want to be well stocked.

I might buy a box to take and try my arm in dxb, waiting on them emailing me back so see whats what i suppose.

              cheers

Although prices have risen a bit over the last 2-3 years and still think prices are great at DBX. If You can, pick up some regionals.
3 hours transfer on DBX (I feel) is a looong time - at least good enough to browse the LCDH[emoji41]

ill do my best! last time i went through the three hours was no time at all, by the time we were put on a bus, train and walked for what seemed like ages, had a vape break in the smoking lounges (no vaping required as instant nicotine hit when you walk in) got a coffee and made our way to the gate. the place is huge isnt it!

                        I actuallly think it?s boringly small [emoji41]
Travelling between concourses yeah, but once in the right one pretty quickly overlooked unless you?re a huge spender that needs to enter every shop.
I used to wait 4 hours going to SA, bloody boring [emoji41]

Let us know what the prices are and if it's cheaper than in continental Europe.
