Good afternoon BOTL,

I have finally managed to get around to booking on one of Gauntley's monthly cigar evenings, and plucked for their final cuban meet of 2019 on the 13th of November. The cost is ?30, and includes two cuban smokes (which added together is of a greater value based on GBP - guess that's a tax loophole?) and usually a talk by someone from the industry:

I thought i would post it on here in case any member would care to join - i am travelling down for it, and they're often held at a local hotel so i shall be staying over.

But I think that I should have some more funds available next year since I will have to slow down with my purchases. So I could use those funds on a plane ticket and get my fat butt over to the UK.

Yeah, i have slowed right down these past three months, decided to just buy the number i smoke, so about 15 boxes a year now, instead of a month

Yeah, I'm at nearly full storage capacity now. There are still a few things that I want but I have build up a very nice stash by now. My guess is that I will stop buying just to buy in a couple of months or so and then start to replace what I smoke like yourself.

It has been fun but things got a little out of hand along the way.

I once tried to organise a herf for up here in Newcastle, at the Cuban Cigar Club - I might give that another go......
