Are lock and lock boxes a good way to store cigars whilst aging without having to buy a proper humidor?
I have a small 40 capacity wooden humidor but thinking about the future and box purchases which need a few years laying down. I'd rather spend on cigars than storage devices. Also boxes can be hidden whilst large coolidors cannot.

I haven?t tried the lock n lock ones but I have the iris containers, I believe they go all the way up to 70 liter containers, didn?t have any issue with plastic smell and the picture is the ones I got and you get 2 containers for that price

I have 2 coolers on top of my wineador. 80 and 100 liters. The both of them hold a mix of 10, 25 and 50 count boxes. I have 70 boxes spread out between both coolers, so if you go for a 50 liter one you should be able to store 20 boxes of various sizes in it. And it won?t take up too much space as you would be able to store it in a closet or something similar.

I seem to have accumulated six Lock'n'locks and can highly recommend them. As well as having a very good seal you can see the contents easily and if you buy a cheap large hygrometer you can position it to see through the side.
