First Alec Bradley, not overly impressed so far considering its 94 rating on cigar aficionado.

Maybe the wrong Alec Bradley Midas. This is an Alec Bradley seconds robusto. Made in Honduras whence I have yet to have a bad cigar. They're sold as seconds usually because they have little water blemishes on the wrapper like this one had. Otherwise the construction is perfect as was the burn with no relights required at all. This was quite mild with a hint of sweetness and no pepper but no lack of flavour, medium strength nicotine wise.

Yea it is very bitter you?re right. It?s not bad it?s just not as good as I expected. The burn and construction has also been very good.

An hour in and still plenty to smoke, maybe it will change my mind but the final third is always my least favourite so this may not get finished.

The AB Prensado (Churchill) or Lost Art Robusto are my favourite Alec Bradley - I must admit I like the idea of those seconds too PeeJay

Couldn't agree more. I always thought of these as after lunch smokes or dinner if you don't have time for a RAG but my friends in Porto smoke them after a light breakfast. It took some doing but boy, the flav's sure seemed stronger!
