Is there a big market for private jet pilots? I always wondered if that is a preferable job for a pilot or not. Given that one lives close to an airport that caters to it.

Generally regarded as not great unless one likes it. Not a top job usually for younger guys for all sorts of reasons, but if it's good it's very good.
For me, the job I'm after sounds perfect. It wont be of course, but it should be bloody good. It sounds like the one last challenge for a 56 year old!! The more I dig into the company the more I want to work for them.

I'm buying a few hours in a A320 sim tomorrow to get some practice for my check ride. Thankfully HMG is paying for it because they're being very helpful to ex thomas cook pilots. Discounted rate too...380 quid for two hours, no instructor. I really want this job. All digits crossed

Marathon interview over...1430 to 2230. Have been accepted to next stage! A further telephone interview. I need to pass it of course but it SHOULD be a formality. The company are really fun and I'm looking forward to joining them in due course, I hope. So far so good...look them.up, flexjet and flexjet europe. Makes very interesting reading.

Best of luck on getting your new job. I hope you'll have a good excuse to fire up a suitable celebratory cigar shortly.

It's very difficult to find good people with a short interview. That's quite the day though! Looks interesting though! Fancy that, an app for private jets! Just picturing the life!

Good luck with the final stages.

Indeed excellent news. Quite rightly tougher than being a football manager, obviously. Apparently they managed to find & interview & confirm Marinio in under 24hrs

Wow! That's some interview. You deserve a drink and a cigar after that.
                                Good luck
