Anyone tried Port with Armagnac before? I am sure that was the combination!! best drink I have ever had with a cigar before, drank whilst on a fancy cruise ship once, wasn't cheap though.

Can’t say I have tried that, though Tia Maria and Cointreau is well worth a try.

Just to be clear - a port and an armagnac mixed in the same glass? That would have to be some experience to justify wasting two good drinks y/n?

It definitely wasn't a waste of two drinks, had it on a Cunard cruise in the smokers lounge, I am pretty sure the glass was warmed up as well!! I have had some nice drinks in my time and that was up there with best..

M&S does a decent bottle of Port and is normally reduced before Xmas

Agreed, sounds dodgy to me but I guess there are crazier combo's out there that do actually work.

Best mix I ever tried was Milk and Malibu! Forgive me brothers...it was 35 years ago and I was but a late teenager at university, totally relieved after finishing the worst, and last, Teaching Practice of my course. I was out of school at 3:30, back at uni by 4 and out of my brains by 4:30 on aforesaid drink. From there the evening just got better and I recall it, sort of, with fondness.

On reflection...I don't recommend the mix for mature palettes...
