Number 3, etc

I googled but couldn't find much - I know with cohibas they get more expensive as the number increases - better tobacco? Is there a standard naming convention amongst Cubans or something?

Cheers

There's no standard different brands do their own thing and it's rarely as simple as the larger or smaller number is better.

Certain numbers tend to go with certain vitolas but not all brands stick to it (No.2s tend to be pyramids but there are a number of them that aren't as well!)

If you refer to Cohibas, you must mean The Siglo sizes. These go from l-Vl and have nothing to do with others. The do get more expensive, but it’s all about sizing. The blend (as far as I know) is basically the same, but feels characteristically different due to the vitola size. As you say price also increases. Many consider the Siglo Vl to be the most awesome cigar, I like the V best and then the lll and lV.

And in Cohiba BHK's they get more expensive the bigger the number but I believe that's just cause they get bigger (the number is the RG)

the number is what the number is...

often the numbers indicate teh ring guage - it is not uncommon prax. the BHK indicated the weight of the hammer... same across the Upmann Mag's...

2's in some shape usually are pyramides as simwells outlined above. No4.... and 5 seem to be breed similar vitolas... etc.

as far as I can see thats as far as it goes... !

That's interesting - I did not know that.

Party 4,5,6
Monte 3,4,5
More usual for them to become more smol!

Only Cohiba reverses this?

And there's factory and common names to confuse things...

I think I may finally have this CAD under control...
