Never again. I had to threaten them with legal action to get my money back. The guy is a bloody wanker!

Wouldn't touch them with a shitty pole (the stick, not the residents of Poland). Complete shister that shouldn't be in the cigar business, let alone any business, not even an ice cream van!

        My experience of Germany:
Cigarworld Dusseldorf - great lounge, the best, crap online experience
Selected Cigars, Dusseldorf - small lounge, great owner, good online experience
Peter Heinrichs, Koln - great bar, ok lounge with crap ventilation that hurts if more than 6 people in
Pipehouse, Koblenz - lovely old building with lounge and very friendly and generous owners, my favorite cigar place in Germany
LCDH Savoy, Berlin - great bar and cocktails, appalling cigar selection

Herzog am Ludwigkirchplatz Berlin - cold german efficiency. Lovely pickled herring next door in the bar that allows smoking and much friendlier

Herzog am Hafen, Berlin - stunning building, again cold german service

I would add Dalay Zigarren in Saarbr?cken. Friendly easy service, great selection (LCDH and NC and their own creations). It's right at the border with France and also has a lounge.

About the "cold service". There are two things about service in Germany. It used to be absolutely crap but has changed tremendously over the last 20 years. You might still get the odd bad service, but what's usually perceived as 'cold' by brits is a cultural difference.

Germans are more direct, which can come across as cold to a person living in a country where one appologises when another person drives their trolly into their heals.

The upside to it is that you can take people at face value. If someone tells you they had a great time and you should meet again, they actually want to see you again and aren't just being polite.

It takes some getting used to, but if you put it into cultural context you hopefully find it less irritating.

I’ve got a pal working out there at the moment. Well more a friend of a friend but he’s agreed to go shopping for me. Just over €7 for a RYJ2.

Pointless repeating the good information provided by others I can see this is how I'm going to be able to build up my collection anyway, by bribing and begging friends who are working away. I won't be getting on a plane for months yet. If I can get a regular supply of boxes from friends who visit Germany regularly that will probably set me up for years.
