  • Toothy moan *grumpy git warning*

1st day of a nice 10 day break from work today. I?d smoke a cigar if I didn?t have so much else to to & 2 children to look after.

Oh and the fact I have a hole where my filling fell out. Perils of the NHS dentist lottery meant a root canal procedure a couple of years ago went wrong & they punctured the tooth & gum. I lived with the abscess and a temporary filling but the filling keeps falling out & the pain from the abscess eventually forced me to arrange an extraction, hopefully better performed than the root canal.

So that?s happening on Friday & there?s not been much point enjoying a good cigar because the side effect of the abscess is my sinus is constantly clogged up by the abscess (really disgusting side effect). So I don?t know if I?ll enjoy my Christmas dinner this year depending how the tooth pulling goes but at least next year I will be able to taste stuff and hopefully not have breath of the walking dead.

    Merry Christmas

that's a terrible run of luck.... hope the extraction goes well. Ought to be the end to it. Gums recover quite swiftly so I wish you every sucess and hope you'll be sipping on champagne and strangling a Cohiba for Christmas morning!

I sympathise. I?ve had a broken tooth since January and where it is meant removing a wisdom first... which took till October to happen. With my schedule I?m now booked in for January to have the broken one dealt with... been almost a year with only a handful of cigars [emoji51]

That sounds just awful. I think you might be suffering even more than me.

Some things are worth paying for to get good quality. Dentistry is one of those.
Good luck with the procedure and best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Well I had the tooth pulled at the end of December & I think I?ll be ready for a cigar soon. It?s taken a course of antibiotics to clear the infection (abscess) which is just about normal now. My sunuses have returned to normal & I?m looking forward to spending a leisurely couple of hours smoking a fine puro.

Bloody hell that was bad luck. I was smoking four days after my extraction.
