Something I?ve used for a long time (including in email addresses) and while I?d like to get rid of it for various reasons it?s a pain in the arse when you?ve used it for years!

Needed a name to use on my first Cigar Internet group, thought of one of my fav Marca's & a true hero for South America - General Simon Bolivar! It's also how I am known on FB these days, after my original account was hacked.
Funny story, on one of the Canadian sites they were moaning about people using alaises to sell cigars, which never turned up. I launched into a tirade about why would they allow that (when to be fair most were using normal names) when someone had the nerve to ask if my name was really Simon Bolivar? It's been part of me for so long now I hadn't noticed I was shooting myself in the foot!In my defence I could only say, everyone in the Cigar world knows me as Simon Bolivar so if I don't deal an honest deal my rep' is shot, just as much as if I used my real name.

Fascinating. I genuinely thought it was your real name!

When I first registered on the forum, I used ‘Arnage’ which is a corner of the Le Mans race track. Once I started participating, I changed it to my name for ease of use.

Moteyi is what I was often referred to by the Congolese when I lived in Zaire. Nearest equivalent would be Patron in French or, I guess, Boss in English.

To be fair, your not the first. When I sold some cigars once, the buyer sent the cheque (remember those?) written out to 'Simon Bolivar'. I had to ask him to send another, he took some convincing!

Alias derives from an old military saying for someone who has been out for a while old and bold although I'm not the old 45 and I'm more bald than bold

Guess I'd qualify for that alias on all counts these days!

Kern was a random nickname I picked up from secondary school. 47 comes from my initials being AK... Childish, I know [emoji39]
