Looking for Dominican cigars in Europe with best selection and prices, my first thought would be Spain! has anybody actually bought them in the Dominican Republic & were they that much cheaper?

I've bought them in the DR. Most production is exported to the USA and then re-imported as the Americans own the big factories like Tabacalera Garcia so expect them to be cheaper than here but dearer than the online prices you're probably drooling over. You can buy locally produced Dominican cigars quite cheaply from places like Don Lucas. You can't buy Dominican cigars with the same names as Cuban cigars in Europe because of the copyright on trademarks.'Cigars are a hobby, cigarettes an addiction' -
I didn't bother buying any cigars in the DR, same price as Belgium or even dearer in some places. Germany is supposed to be the cheapest European country to buy cigars at the moment, guessing that'll make their Dom's cheaper too.Simon Bolivar: Liberator of Bolivia, Ecuador, Peru & Venezuela.
