An Upmann Mag56, in the kitchen!

Our son is at my parents this evening, we have cooked and are now working our way though a Magnum if PJ champagne.

    Happy new year everyone.

I was eating what my butcher called a half ?Baron? of beef as I wrote it!!! We were all in bovine heavens!!! The baron as we have it presented is a T-bone roasting joint. Sirloin/ wing rib with fillet on the other side

Wagyu is interesting given the degree of fat in it- a good well raised beast delivers a rib eye which is naturally well marbled cut. Both are delicious!

                Glad you enjoyed your steak!

Yeah I follow you Matt, was just joking. First and last wagyu for me (outside of Japan) - bloody steep price although well worth the try. But as we are on veggies and have been so for the last 2 months, I won?t see more steak for a looong time[emoji41]

On veggies eh? I was a vegetarian for a few years but was lured back by a huge steak on a trip to Canada!! I was playing a lot of rugby at the time and gained more muscle bulk through soya protein etc .... but I enjoy meat and salamis and dried meats etc too much!

I?ve just been talking to Mrs C about upping our veggie intake (it?s not low but it could be more substantive)!

                    Good luck!

It was good but I wasn't blown away. Crossing my fingers that the next one will be stellar!

Never had a stellar one. CoRo are always fairly standard and never exciting.... Same with Esplendido tbh.

I disagree Steve. I've had a few really great CoRos. It' a cigar I like a lot when it's good but I would say that only 2 or 3 out of 10 are stellar.

Tx for your honest review Mike. I must say I had a number of fantastic smokes out of this box, not all I admit. Of course, I gave you my rubbish
