Discontinued unfortunately, my all time favourite cigar.

I was a little bit underwhelmed with the one SLR DC I tried. The SLR Churchill on the other hand, now that is a belter! Also discontinued sadly.

A HdM Rio Seco and a glass or three of a rather nice red.

it was just over two years old - I liked it nice sweetness and bitter cocoa flavours, definitely needs longer time down to improve as the second half the flavours really got melded into one - personally I liked the cigar, I paired it with a cherry porter, which helped I think
combat the bitterness - took me an hour to smoke it.

Late submission but enjoyed this La Caba?a (@gojira I hadn't heard about these until I saw your post yesterday so felt obliged to try one![emoji12]) on Saturday afternoon for my birthday celebration at Astoria Cigars in Margate.

It was a very rich, flavoursome stick from start to finish. Very solid construction which felt right but actually drew very well.

Came into its own at the half way point and opened up with lots of coffee/chocolate notes. I think with time this will become a very well rounded cigar, mellow but with bags of flavor.

Unfortunately not at the current UK price and being a Cuban RE they will attract a high premium in other markets too.

This was a birthday treat and generously discounted by a friend who owns the lounge!

I have no doubt that with your connections you will track one down, Mike! If all else fails Jason is your man (but UK prices, of course [emoji51])

They pop up here and there but I'm not willing to pay FB prices. I'll be patient until somebody goes to Cuba. 10k boxes so they should be available for a while.

Indeed, belated Happy Birthday HB! If I happen to be in Cuba shortly, I'll look those La Caba?a's up.
