A day trip to Madrid, Barcelona or even to Geneva to buy them may well be cheaper that buying a box or two in the UK. However if your looking for singles to explore that?s a different matter.

The open range isn't bad...it's for exactly what they intend....ie smoke a cigar playing a round of golf...just a nice uncomplex cigar to enjoy while doing other activities you enjoy.

Unlikely mate. The price is due to UK duty on tobacco (which is astronomical, ?280/kg or more by now) plus UK VAT on top of the price plus duty. They are cheaper in Europe and not likely to drop now we're out. Nothing to do with European rules, unfortunately. ☹️

Some prices are set by government in Europe. We are truly capitalist.

My point was more about Brexit. It won't lower the price.

Typically UK has the highest tobacco duty in Europe, if I'm not mistaken?

No2 is the only monti I’ve had I think. Thoroughly enjoy those though.

Any thoughts on the Monte 1? I've yet to try one but they have lots going for them on paper. I generally prefer sub-46 ring gauges. Fully agree about the 4. I have a 2014 box which have been beautiful but I have enjoyed them fresh also

You know, I've tried the especial no.1 a few times. And like it. But never the no. 1 .... Good suggestion.

For some reason they don't seem to get mentioned a lot. I wonder if there's a reason? I may have to pick some up and see for myself
