    Observed in some recent cigars where there's a knot . Little hard balls of crystalline construction. Obviously something not normally found in the great draw cigars.
    They're a bit like hundreds and thousands you put on cakes and trifles.

      I'd say it's like oils and tar that leave behind the dry 'crystalline' ash once the oils are evaporated.

        Is that after a relight?

        Jet flame?

        Only see this when I annihilate the foot with a jet lighter. Gentle lighting doesnt do this i think.

            Yes single jet flame.
            So concensus is oil pockets heated by hot jet flame.

              Yes i would agree oil pockets. I expect there are eggs in some cigars though. Good source of protein!

                I'm sure I read that they were nitrates in the tobacco heated by the jet flames.
