• Working from Home

Fascinating... with the onset of Covid we are pushing our staff out to work from home.
What with the Spring air coming quietly upon us.... my 11 year old daughter smelt the change in the air the other morning (proper countryside kid!) .... I am hopeful that working from home means I can smoke a cigar at work again!!! Its been more than 20 years since I smoked in an office...

Funny old world... stay well people!

I've been WFH daily over a week now. Since a confirmed case was announced 2 floors down from me at work. And doing so for the foreseeable future.

Can't believe people have been traveling the tubes down here. Although speaking to others at work. There was a pressure to still be in the office for a lot of folk. That's now alleviating!

The weather is finally turning! Hoping to virtually share the occasional cigar too during the day again!

Why are schools still open!? https://medium.com/@tomaspueyo/coron...e-f4d3d9cd99ca

I think I may finally have this CAD under control...

Schools are still open because poorer people and the self employed have to choose between the risk of their children getting the virus against no money and starving. Its easy for the more fortunate of us to forget that some people need their children cared for during the working day just to survive.

I'm lucky. We don't have kids. As well as having an office job that entails not having to deal with people on the whole.

oooh. Also schooling from home.

Not sure how some folks who need child care cope during long holidays, here's hoping everyone finds a way.

Most people in the poorer aereas of the Black Country wont give a s**t about getting or passing this on because of this. Although my work will cover me, I know a few who will have to go into work or most have the Black Country trait of not giving a cr*p about it and getting on with things ( although not giving a cr*p could change to them not stopping from cr*ping in a few weeks lol )

Without wishing to offend you in anyway, not having kids is not lucky. I have four healthy ones. THAT'S lucky.

I have no kids and am way luckier than you! The thought of 1 kid fills me with dread, let alone 4! Thankfully my wife feels the same.
ha_banos wanna go for a smoke Saturday morning whilst everyone is watching pepper pig with their spawn?!

WFH is certainly a real benefit for me. Can look after the kids and just spent the last 30 mins cooking dinner with my eldest. Lovely sticky chicken with rice, and she did the rolling rhe chicken in flour and egg yucky bit.

Sorry mate, got to disagree. Having no children leaves you very impoverished.

Enjoy the cigars though.
