How are these with 10 years Vitola? I love Party Shorts and have smoked them with up to 5/6 years on them. What I like in particular is that they seem to offer something interesting when young or aged. Do they lose their omph?

They don?t lose any of the oomph so to speak - well not to me, they gain in terms of the smooth melding of flavours and complexity goes up a notch - the batch I have, a few have been rolled tight, but I dry box them before smoking and it seems to do the trick - what surprises me is how long you can make them last - this one took just around 50 mins, encouraging you to savour that gorgeous flavour profile. I couldn?t fault this one - in fact I had to resist lighting another one straight after I enjoyed it so much.

Interesting to know, thanks. I'm waiting on a box and I might lay few down for a very long sleep. I completely agree about smoke time- I have no trouble getting an hour out of these if I want. In fact I think the flavours are improved by smoking shorts as slow as possible

I’ve just had a look through my notes and I get between 45-70 minutes out of a Party Short, interestingly but perhaps not surprisingly, 45 minutes was the one I rated the lowest and 70 minutes on the one I rated the highest so I guess how long i make it last directly relates to how much i’m enjoying it.

3-5 seems to be the sweet spot for me but I’ve never had one 10 years old. Partagas usually has the legs to age as long as you want so I see no reason why they wouldn’t be good at 10, I’ve just never managed to keep away from them that long .
