Nice. I like a bit of hi fi. But like Peejay went digital ages ago. Forever streaming now. I've never been an album geek. More mood genres. So Spotify or radio works well.

I do like to listen to some quality hifi recordings occasionally though. CD.

Got some old power amps driving old kef refs.

With the right source can sound divine. And great for movies too!

Not had a turntable for probably 35 years now!

    Enjoy!

I think I may finally have this CAD under control...

It's definitely a bit of a faff sometimes but it's nice to actually have and own something tangible to collect.

When Bruce Willis took Apple to court about his hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of iTunes purchases not being able to be handed down to his kids, it made me think twice about purchasing digital.

We use Spotify to listen to some of the records we have still as it's just convenient and can play throughout the house, but it's also good to see the artists actually farm a bit of money from the vinyl as they're lucky to see pennies from Spotify etc.

I finally ditched my analogue collection around 10 years ago - ditching my Linn LP12 after converting all my albums to digital and going with a Linn Klimax streamer. Now my collection is either my own purchased stored digital content, or streaming content from Tidal and Qobuz. I still miss all the LP record album content, sleeve notes etc...so I signed up as a lifetime user of Roon - great music playback software interface for streaming content throughout the home, adds artist bio, album info, ratings, sleeve notes, playlists, history - about all of your music. works great on an iPad as a controller for the whole house

How does Roon organise / show you online streaming content, my biggest pet hate of the streaming options is that unless you listen to Spotify radio you?re just searching for what happens to be in your head at that time rather than browsing options. This over time massively restricts the variety of music people listen to, and you lose the joy of looking through a pile of albums to find something you?d lost. Luckily scanning through music on a hard drive tends to give most of that but as I listen to more and more streamed music I wish they could replicate that experience better.

I bet that makes lock down run a little smoother. I've got some serious set-up envy.

We had some great Totem Arro speakers that had to go to my brother when our daughter started crawling/walking, great for the size of the room but the footprint is tiny and I was worried she'd either knock them over our push her little fingers in a tweeter.

What headphones have you got there?

Roon is excellent for learning your music listening styles and history, suggesting content based on your current playlist, your library tags. I think they offer a month free trial of the system -

Not had the opportunity to listen to any top end headphones yet. They look way out of my league!

Do you have gold plated digital interconnects and OCC power cables?

That classA looks lovely by the way!

Interesting, shall have to try it out as I find Spotify you just end up listening to the same as the time. Tidal can be got for almost nothing a month compared to Spotify too!

We always get stuck in a rut too, having almost the entire world's music at your fingertips is a daunting mountain to climb.

We get most of our music pointers from BBC6 Music. Guy Garvey's show on a Sunday is probably my favourite show but we listen most days.

I love 6music but I need to start listening at home, feel like there?s not been any new music in ages but then I?ve not listened to the radio cause I?ve not been in my car so I?d probably not have noticed!

I?ve actually been doing some work on a classic snake oil audio company recently, interesting how little goes into their products for the price!
