Found a box online recently, I?m looking forward to trying them out.
Is there a huge amount of difference compared to Cuban.
I?m expecting (could be totally wrong here) them to be fuller and perhaps a little stronger than usual?

Try one by all means but that looks a bit dodgy to me. The NC Montecristos do not try to emulate the Cuban packaging like that.

So, been doing some digging. I can only assume this is a genuine empty box? I?m expecting to see the same interior, this one obvs not export.

I thought the only NC montes that replicated the Cuban?s packaging style were the classic series but they said classic series on them.

Wouldn?t get my hopes up about how good they?ll be too much but you never know! The market for the NC?s by the original owners in Europe is tiny so our experience on these will be limited though I know PeeJay certainly seems to have more experience on them than most.

The caps look okay in the photo, let us know what they're like when you smoke one.

The packaging insert and internal finish does look off for what you?d expect but that doesn?t mean they didn?t fall out the back door of the factory or something.

Try one and let us know! They look like they?ve been rolled by someone that knows what they?re doing.

They don't fall out of the back door of the factory, they're made in an apartment in Santo Domingo according to a tour guide I spoke to.

Wow they really try to emulate the Cuban Montecristo...

Robusto smoked well 1st half, medium flavour, mainly tobacco with a slightly peppery finish, 2nd half wasn?t great, hot and dry.
I?m going to get these in some Tupperware and bring up the humidity. Gradually or just throw some 75 Boveda in there? I have 62,69&75?

75 is too wet, 62 or 69 should be fine and is personal preference between those.

Thanks Alex [emoji16][emoji1417] personally, having tried one out of the box, it was tinder dry - not for me really...
out of curiosity, how long does it take generally for humidity to reach the centre of the stick?
I?ve had issues before with tunnelling where the core is dryer than the surrounding baccy...[emoji3166][emoji848]
