    Anna Kournikova?

Just trying to work it out, as it's not Team GB, who performed very well at the last Olympics. Also, given the only sport with any real funding provided a Gold at the Winter Olympics, it was money well spent. Just need to spread the funding amongst the winter sports a bit more.

That's why I think a Londres might be nice. Apart from the aptness of the name the size should keep it within the price grasp of most cigar enthusiasts. well, that is unless someone goes and gives it some sort of Behike treatment.
A box five might be nice too, and five different bands to fit in with the five colours of the Olympic rings.
If you want to, you can.
And, if you can, you must!

An excellent idea! I love it - the box of five moreso, but I like the idea of different coloured bands too.

Having an Olympic themed cigar would be great. Similar to the world champion cigar for South Africa this year

Exactly, Spivy. I like Tipexx's idea of a Londres - Giving the cigar a French name shouldn't upset the organisers in Paris too much ... Although we do have a Por Larra?aga - 'Regalias de Londres' due for this year so we may want to look at something a little different.
Using the Olympic colours may prove problematic as I understand they are very protective of who uses them, likewise, naming them after an Olympic winner of the past is probably a non-starter, but we might get away with a three pack with a gold, silver and bronze second band.

Either way, we don't get something this big occur in the UK very often so we should try to do something to celebrate it...

As long as you don't use the London 2012 logo you are fine. I love the idea of Gold, Silver and Bronze. Maybe like the Behike boxes from the festival?

An excellent idea. I suspect that the pricing of a three pack would see good sales too.

I can't see a problem with the five different coloured bands, though (as long as you don't have them overlapping like the Olympic logo ). However, as you say (and I have heard), they can be very picky about how Olympic images are used, which is fair enough given how much sponsors pay to get that connection. Probably worth clarifying with someone who is definitely in the know if that idea became a leading one - which would be great.

Has anyone else noticed the 2012 logo looks like lisa simpson giving a blow job?
