Nicki leaves Claudia momentarily. He takes out a brown stubby thing and points it at a shop window. He takes out his mobile phone to make a photograph that could be called Norman Nub Hartnell. He enters a competition and wins a paper certificate that says Well Done, You - Nikki.

Lord I wish I had a shaving of Nickki's excitement today.

Bryan, it looks like I will need to re-record a bit of the walk to include the new Palaise de Cigar, as I am heading back to the studio can I borrow this for the top of Berkeley Square?

Also you have my mind in a spin as to whether I would rather be out back at Claudia Winklemans or Stella McCartneys...

As Lasc suggests he was did mention this to me and I am delighted to say that the spot I am talking about is yet another smoking 'salon' and a good way further south.

I expect, having been through the hallowed doors of the Connaught on a couple of occasions, that when it opens it will be just as exclusive , if not more so, than the Lainsborough.

29th!? Bugger! Will be in Austria. Still, can't complain, would rather be skiing than spending tons on being in London (as I usually do). Missed out on a great subject for the new blog - will just have to enjoy a cigar at the end of a day skiing instead...

PS. I feel for you, there's nothing worse than not getting to go skiing. I've had to cut back from four to two weeks this year (not exactly splashing the cash, I get paid for most of them. )

PPS. Thanks Nic - make sure they know what to improve on so that the place is in tip top shape when I make an appearance...

I cut back from 2 weeks to none a couple of years back. Dislocating my kneecap hurt, and so did the subsequent surgery...I'll not be skiing again any time soon!
