    hey phil,
welcome to the forum! i'm afraid that, as far as i'm aware, i'm the only member on here from n. ireland (belfast)!! not sure what happened with everyone else!! there's no cigar 'herfs' or groups at the moment here in belfast, apart from the odd occasion i'm joined by (usually non smoking) friends, i do this alone!! i have an insanely busy life and so when i have a cigar, that's me forcing myself to take a break in the day for an hour or two!!

where abouts in belfast are you (n, s, e, w)? as you can see, i compiled a pretty comprehensive list of where to buy and where to go to enjoy your cigars!! if there's anything else i can help you with, please either post here or PM me!! i'm only too glad to help others in the same boat as myself.....

    take care pal,

    alex

      Hi Alex,

Just would like to meet someone who has a better clue than what I have when it comes to things! I'm in south Belfast, ah, I thought there was more of a following here, yes, thats a great list you've compiled but just would like to build my confidence to smoke out by especially with other smokers if you understnad what I mean?

      Cheers

        hey phil,
i totally know what you mean!! i was in the same position when i first started smoking cigars!! i'm so thankful i found this forum, all the info i needed i gained from here!! i was never really that confident going into miss moran's in the city center, it seemed so intimidating, and the staff weren't very helpful!! now i go in with an 'air of authority', which kinda throws them off a bit!! like, i'll go in, browse the selection, mention a cigar that they don't have in the humidor that i'd like to purchase!! what for the 'oh, we only have what you see' to which i take great delight in saying, 'ah well, never mind!! i'll wait till i'm in jj foxes in dublin next!!' lol......

as for a decent comfy smoking area, i've heard good things about the welly park hotel (that's in s. belfast)!! that's where niall (the owner of miss moran's) told me he goes!!! perhaps you'll find some impromptu herfs there...

btw, what cigars have you tried and where have you bought them from?

I have yet to venture into Miss Morans yet! Maybe will as my confidence develops! Will try to get out more, dont want to look like an eejit in the smoking shelter by myself enjoying a cigar!

Got my cigars in dublin in Decent Cigar Emporium. Have had Montecristo no4, Upmann corona jnr and cohiba siglo I. Need to get smoking more regularly...how often do you smoke etc?

            hey phil,
i used to be a once or twice a week smoker, now it's more regular, like every other day!! it's not an addiction, i can take it or leave it, it's just now i'm enjoying it more!!! lol!!

as i've already pointed out, miss moran's is northern ireland's only 'habanos' specialist, and they have a very limited stock!! niall can be chatty and helpful when he wants to be, just don't take his word as gospel!! he said he doesn't stock partags p2's because he reckons they're rubbish, and juan lopez he reckons there's no demand for them!! the vineyard on the ormeau road is quite reasonably priced and have a great selection of tubed cubans and the greatest alcohol selection in our city!! they have partagas (p2, d4), bolivar (1,2,3, royal coronas), h upmann (magnum 46, corona jnr), montecristo (petite tubos, petite edmundo), cohiba (siglo 1, 2, 6) and romeo y julieta (tubos 2, churchill and short churchill)!! next time i call in to miss moran's, i'll let you know if they've anything decent in stock and the prices!!

as for where i smoke, i usually do it alone out in my back garden late in the evening, with a decent coffee or snifter of whiskey or cognac!! i never smoke when i'm out......

Not sure if this has been posted already but was in Lavery's off-license last week buying a bottle of vodka for the brother in law and noticed they had a nice looking cabinet humidor with a good number of boxes (Cuban) although prices seemed on the high side.

to all northern irelanders/belfasters. spotted a wee H&F humidor at The Grange off licence beside the spar garage outside holywood. ( lefthand side if your heading into belfast) perfect for grabbing a tubo to go and smoke at seapark!
