The January Smoke Ring Challenge
Time for a New Year cigar competition, I reckon.
I enjoyed a Punch Petit Coronation this late afternoon in my smoke shack and found myself trying to blow smoke rings. I was a miserable failure.
I will post off a Partagas D4 to the person posting the best image of him/herself blowing a smoke ring. The image can be a still shot, or a video clip.
There have to be at least three genuine entries from three different aficionados from the forum - ie no google image random cheat rings, you buggers - for this to be deemed a competition, and like Prince Phillip, I will lurk in the background and nod to lackeys who will eventually knight the winner.
I reserve the right to post random entries out of utter boredom, but will not be awarding myself the prize Partagas. That would be silly.
The pictures can come from now, or from a past ring triumph.
The snap below is the best still I can muster of my ring and was when, despite having the air of a stoned psychopath, I was enjoying a plump and nicely brown Montecristo. I cannot remember the model but she was a great smoke.
The sideways on phone vid shows how out of practice I am. I tried a few mouthfulls this afternoon after work and didn't manage a correctly formed circle once.
I know this is not quite etiquette to kiss cherished Havana smoke into rings, but it's January and I'm already bored.
Plus I like licking stamps, so please try!
