  • For TJCoro re uploading photos to the site

    TJ

That slideshow was very easy to make.

There are several picture sites that you use to can store and upload digital photos.

If you want to upload jpegs (digital photographs) to your personal album(s) on the site, or to add/change your avatar, you can upload directly to your user area from your own computer. Files can't be massive, though.

If you want to upload single jpegs - or make a slideshow - I use a site called Photobucket. It's free, and you can upload thousands of pictures very easily indeed.

You'll need to open an account first.

Once you have uploaded, each jpeg is given its own URL (long string of numbers and letters like a website reference) which you can find by clicking PROPERTIES. (You can always find PROPERTIES by right-clicking images on the web and in your own web-based folders). Copy that URL, then enter it into the symbol in the list above this (and every) post which has a picture frame. I posted three pictures of my humidor last night, so I had to go through this process three times.

Within the Photobucket site, you can make a slideshow very easily. The site is very self-explanatory. Foolproof.

If you wish to post a VIDEO, you can often copy the EMBED code and drop it straight into this frame rather than use a symbol in the top strip. Again it's a very easy process - and it works far more easily on this site for me than on any of the other forums I visit.

I hope that makes sense, and I'm sorry if I'm teaching granny to suck eggs. How can we each accredit each other's prior learning on here, possum?

    I hope this helps, mate.
Now post some humi snaps, dude!

PS A fanny, in ENGLISH English, is actually a snatch.
    Happy now?

    Your loving

Robusto has given you some great advice, mate.

Based on his recommendation, I tried Photobucket for my humidor story pictures. It was very easy, intuitive, and FAST! You really shouldn't have any problems at all.

          Props, Robusto!

            Dude

I'm ready to jet over in an instant to cut or punch them whenever you whistle, possum.

Do you have humidor SAT-NAVs in Florida?

Punch in BOLIVAR and it takes a fortnight to get there on a special Clintonesque golf cart...

(Kidding. You know that, me old mucker).

Three years ago I hadn't got a clue how to arse around with pictures like this. I was sending pictures of my fat ones for strangers to post.

Now you - and JJ - can fly free like me and Paul, love.

Thanks again Mr. R. for the easy-to-understand instructions for both pics and video. I can see how you became a teacher. BTW, what grade/subject do you teach?

When I get off my fanny (ass in US English), I will give it a go with pics of my stash and video of my favorite smoking places around my land.

Now, what the do you mean by the above quote, Nancy?

                  Quim, frankly.

Formal teaching qualifications in French and German.
Fuckwit UK government downgraded importance of learning languages about three years ago. Less teaching of languages, therefore.
I moved into teaching Music, Drama and IT alongside languages.
An absolute revelation, as Music and Drama (these two in particular) are far more enjoyable to teach than languages. Most of my teaching hours are a real laugh - and they pay me for this! Also, new curricula do not focus massively on past classical musicians or over-complicated theory. My teaching is more about assisting composition - and getting kids to have enough confidence to PERFORM, either on small stages or in a small recording studio. (Exactly what I value and rate most highly in musicians). Having spent many years spent knocking about and playing in bands is a great help here.

From September, I will probably be doing Music only by request.

Nice school. Good kids. Good way to make an honest crust, really.

                  What do you do, TJ?
