Now that the days are getting shorter and the nights longer I've been getting into some TV shows and thought it might be fun to share anything that others might enjoy. I know there has been the discussion about Sons of Anarchy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sons_of_Anarchy which i have on my to watch list but has anyone got any gems they want to share?

For me i have really go into the league http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_League. An American show about a fantasy football league, you don't have to be into American football to enjoy it and is is more about the the interaction between friends trying to get one over on each other to win along with their life outside the game. Very funny and highly recommended by myself.

Also looking forward the second series of the Misfits out in December http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Misfits_(TV_series), like a British Heroes, season 1 was only 6 episodes and again very funny. Also looking forward to the new season of V http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/V_(2009_TV_series), nothing like a modern take on a scifi classic.

So what are you looking forward to or feel like recommending to other BOTL?

Is this the 2nd season of V or just a rerun of the first?

Not on Tv (dvd) im after Brotherhood, said to be an irish/american version of the Sopranos.

Mad Men, The Walking Dead, Boardwalk Empire. That'll be all you'll need.

Oh, and for anyone who's never watched Six Feet Under in its entirety (most people I speak to about Six Feet say "Oh. well I saw a bit of one series, but never got to the end") - FFS, go out and buy the box set immediately. Do not pass Go

I'm quite partial to Man v Food on the UK Food
Each episode the host travels round to various restaurants and diners to take on the local food challenge of "eat all this and make the wall of fame" type thing. Some of this stuff is huge.

Not forgetting Dinners, Drive-ins and Dives on the Food Network. Which is just an exploration of the fantastic array of fattening food, local specialties and burgers that can found across the states.
The only down side is I get very hungry watching it.

The Wire, Sopranoes. Haven't seen any SoA,
I really like Grand Designs too.
Does that make me slightly camp or is it OK to watch that?
            Also Nigella Lawson. (Ahem)

Good shout Boss with Man-v-Food. Definitely low-grade TV, but great fun and very interesting. Anyone for a six-pounds of steak challenge?

New series of NCIS starts tonight on FX, I'll be watching/recording that. Along with NCIS Los Angeles, Life, and House - my go to TV series at the moment. Shame there all American... Still, Spooks makes up for it (shame I had to catch up on the first three episodes on iPlayer having missed the start of the series...)

Satch, you really need to see SOA

Been a fan of MvF for years, i used to watch it late night on the travel channel while on holiday in the states. I also like Diners , Drive ins and Dives on Food Network.

Im really hoping we get Boardwalk empire sooner rather than later, i think it was almost a year before we got SoA.

                  Definitely suggest Dexter, great series.

If you didn't catch it while it was about, Battlestar Galactica is a brill series too.

West Wing was another favourite of mine, years ago.

I have been watching Boardwalk Empire since it began. I am definitely a fan! great show...

There are two more shows from HBO that I watch regularly. The vampire series, "True Blood" is a good one, as well as the comedy, "Hung", which is about a high school baseball coach that becomes a male prostitue and has a female pimp. It is actually quite funny.

Another good show is "Breaking Bad". It is about a Science teacher that starts making crystal meth and becomes a drug dealer while trying to maintain a normal life. "Californication" is another winner.

I have been planning on watching Son of Anarchy and Dexter. Have to get around to it.

I do the like occasional food network show, like the two Boss mentioned. Like him, I always get hungry watching them however.

                      .
Have to agree with both of these; Dexter is one of my all time favorites, and BG is incredible.

Also a big fan of Californication, and I enjoy Weeds (though not as much).

I am currently going through the whole damn X Files series--I'm on season 7. Some amazing stuff there (and some not so).
