    hey all,
was interested to hear what any of you out there who's smoked one of these recently think of them!!! i know that when they came out, the thoughts weren't too kind towards 'em!!! the general consensus was, i believe, that they were too bitter and too harsh, that they needed time to settle down!!! i'd love to hear opinions of what they're like now......

the reason i am asking is because there's been a fair bit of discussion regarding the other 2009's (ryj duke & h upmann mag48) and even the 2010's (monte grand edmundo, trini petite robusto & partagas especial)........ but there's been next to nothing regarding the bolivar!!!!

Hi Alex - I've not had any of the Bolis since they came out and they were as rough as arses then but I should have known better as you shouldn't smoke an LE on the year of release.....I reckon they'll be pretty good now!

Based on how they tasted last year, in no way these can be ready now IMHO; for my taste they need at least an extra year of maturation?

They were shocking young but may go on to be great ...a couple more years yet methinks.

Found it too strong and rough when I had one, still got one in the humi and will maybe try it again in a few months.

This is the worst of all the LE's I have had. I love a Beli Fino with a few years on it but these just had nothing but blunt force going for them. They will change with age but they will have to change a LOT to be any good.
"In Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love, they had 500 years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock!"
