  • Cigar of The Year 2010

    Hello Gentlefolk,

Last year I ran a simple cigar of the year thread which resulted in a comp to win what came out top. Last years winner was the Monte Sublime.

Well it's that time of year again so looking for nominations. The cigars with the most nominations will go to a poll and one will be crowned the UKCF Cigar of the year 2010.

So please nominate what you think has been the cigar of the year, regardless of size or origin or release.

Please try to keep it to one or two nominations.

I'll get the ball rolling and nominate

El Rey del Mundo Grandes de Espana

Very smooth and evolved to a spectacular finish.

    Partagas Serie D Especial

I've had a few of these and they have been nothing short of great to me. Consistent and great flavours. I'd describe it as a longer smoothed out D4.
Lover of fine Cubans since 2006

My vote is for the Bolivar Royal Corona

with the Montecristo 2010 LE in a close second.
Business in the front. Party in the back.
    UKCF is now mobile friendly!

The Mullet Dog is so on fleek!

      My Vote would go for...
      1) The H.Upmann Mag 48 EL (09)
      Cream, Cream Cheese

      2) The Montecristo No2 (nov 09)
      Chocolate, White Pepper, Nutmeg

I have only had one of the Party D Esp, it was very nice but I'll save it for next years

Best cigar i had this year was a PSDN4 with the darkest wrapper i have seen....Colarado Maduro would fit the description.

The second best was a Cohiba Robusto (2006) from moidoid...very creamy/caramely...extremely delicious!!

Third H.Upmann Mag 48 EL...wonderful flavours but was over too soon.

The best cigar I smoked this year was the Edmundo Dante El Conde 109 RE. It was given to me by a very nice man on my birthday.

If we are talking about cigars released this year then I have enjoyed sampling the BHKs; probably the BHK 52 the most.

From my limited experience the Patagas series D No 4 tops my list, with the Lusitania a close second only losing out because it sat me on my arse, must train harder,

Best cigar for me this past year was the 1965 vintage Partagas I smoked at Teddington. I cannot remember the vitola, oh well.

The three I've enjoyed most this year would probably be,

                              Cohiba - BHK 54
                              Montecristo - Grand Edmundo
Ramon Allones - Belicoso Finos (one of the original '05 REs)

No particular order and perhaps selected due to the occasion they were smoked rather than anything else...
