+ 100 for that Gazza, I knew there was cellophane on them at some time, still don't remember the red thingy though!
As I said..too easy to say fakes on the strength of a picture but Tipps absolutely correct on investment potential & recent storage is a huge concern!

Hi Chief Judge, I agree with the "good-doing!!" if your right...
I've selected my own cigars in Cuba at the Partagas factory & had the labels placed inside so...I'd still want to see them in person before I said 100% fake.. again I'll ask has anyone seen any fake Quinteros or even the Belvederes for that matter....

Gazza, Where do you live ?

I never said they were fake. It's the red strip-pull that's unusual. I've tracked that picture you're showing to a Czech website so maybe it's an Eastern European preferred thing?

As Puff says, it's highly unlikely that any counterfeiter would bother with faking lower end cigars as that isn't where the money is. However, even low end can have a value in the right circumstance. CGars recently sold a box of Partagas Londres Finos for ?230. But to achieve that the box was an early seventies vintage, in UNOPENED mint with all seals attached. (As I said earlier about a 50 years wait).

Now, you want to know are your cigars real, should you put them away as an investment or should you smoke them. The guys have asked you for the box date codes, and which would be a great help in making any judgements.
Or, you could take them along to CGars, who I'm sure would make an honest appraisal of their provenance, worth and possible future value. However, you've already told us how you've been storing them, Mitch I suspect would not need telling, he would know.

If you can manage to go trawling the 'net for pics can you share with us the box codes that will be on the bottom of the boxes?

Do you know anything more about how they were stored before you received them? Might be worth asking the chap that gave them to you.

Those are the 2 fairly simple, yet very important questions that need to be answered before anyone can even start to help you with the "keep 'em, sell 'em, or smoke 'em" side of things...

Gazza, the box date codes are stamped on the back of the box. Like this, I'm sorry if it's a bit blurred .... my rotton photography!

Sorry to be a fly in the ointment again..but repackaging has been known to occur!
someone will have to see them..but I do agree Gazza himself could be more helpful!

The Churchill are defiantly suspect, any sticks with the Habanos labels in the box are fake for sure. If you want some real advice put up some detailed pics, front, back, date codes on the bottom and you will get some.

There is still the issue that you stored these in the fridge, this may have killed them. Then there is the overiding issue that this is a forum for cigar aficionado to discuss cigar smoking (and other crap), not a valuation service, probably be good if you decide what you want from us?
