  • Thoughts...? 25 box or 5x5's

Been looking at a list of available box codes from a particular vendor.

Given the same vitola & price what would you pick from the following options?

    25 Cab SEP 08
    or 5x5 boxes APR 06

On their list there's a number of similar scenarios with 25's & 15's made up in 3's & 5 packs, where generally there's more age on the smaller pack options, I guess as they don't sell as well?

I guess the question is, how well will the cigars have aged in non-Tubos 5 packs?

    Cheers!

A good vendor and the 06 packs will have aged as well as Cuban cigars can inside the cardboard outer and cardboard/cello inners.

But if it were me ? I'd go for the cab. OK the cigars are two years on the greener side, but for proper ageing the cab is the way to go. And you may be only want to be smoking two or three a year anyway.

A down side with small packs. Kept in a tuppadore the card tends to absorb moisture, so you have to check not just inside the outer card but also the inners to make sure no mould problems are occuring.
If you want to, you can.
And, if you can, you must!

Thanks, Tipp! It was your previous most about the cardboard packs holding moisture that had me thinking...

Additionally '08 was genrally a great year for Cuban production, I would go with the 08's all day long.
