  • 2008 Partagas Shorts?

I'm considering a 25 box to top-up my small smokes (not that I've many big ones) but have only had singles, dates unknown of the Shorts before. How long, or how much age before these come into their prime?

Smoked quite a few boxes and cabs of these over the years, some with five years and some with only one and they always hit the spot for me. Full bodied and straight to the point, great with a single malt or strong cup of coffee. Love the size. Still prefer the Boli corona Junior but this comes a close second in this size.

I've got 10 coming - looking forward to trying them... ordered them on the strength of review and patronage on here.

      ** EDIT

      Not 10 box - 10 sticks...doh!

I've head four or five 2008 Party Shorts over the last few months (from different sources). All of them had all already hit their stride - so seems like the 08s are ready to go already.

I have a 2010 box of Party Shorts that I'm getting through very quickly at the moment. I am not the most experienced with ageing cigars however, but they taste mighty fine to me!

If you can find 2008 Shorts, I'd go for it... I've got 2009 and 2010 boxes on the go and both are already smoking really nice. I think with small smokes it's even tougher to get some age on them which is why I decided to pick up 2 boxes of these when I did.

A favourite of mine, once you get past that first year they are generally good to go

Buy the box & try to keep the bottom layer Tip'. I have a box of 2007, I spilt with a friend who brought them back 2yrs ago from Havana. Still not tried one yet; still smoking the 2005 box & they are tickety boo. I have had the odd single with 2-5yrs on them & they were fine but the easiest way to smoke aged smaller stix is to age your own.
