Indeed spanish cedar is what you should look for. It has excellent humidity regulation properties, it is naturally mold resistant and its spicy aroma complements that of your cigars (the dreaded cigar beetle doesnt like it by the way!)

I dont personnaly know of any suppliers but i believe some of our more experienced forum members can help you with that.

If you are just putting boxes of cigars in a sealed container, I don't really think you need it as the boxes and the cigars themselves will help buffer. If you're dead set on getting some in quantities enough to actually do any buffering, try Timberline or eBay. You can also find old cigar boxes on eBay that are actually made of proper Spanish cedar if you look around. Either break these up or use for storing singles.

Also worthwhile considering that quite a few other woods will also work well to buffer humidity, as will pretty much anything absorbent or with a large surface area (e.g. silica gel).

Do you want it for the buffering or for the taste/beetle repellent aspect?

Thank you for the reply... i will be getting alot of singles and 5s ect so i would rather have a lining or shelfs if you get me. Thank you i will check ebay and so a search on boxes that could be broke down. Im mainly doing this for buffeing as i really dont have anything to hold humidity in their accept the humidifyer. I wouldn't mind the flavour and the beetle repellent but the main objective is for buffering so i would be very happy to try a different wood but the worry of the wood flavouring the cigars in the rong way is a worry because im not up on woods.

          Thank you

              Glad to help

Other woods may be suitable as Daverave999 suggests, although I can't really say which ones these would be. Avoid however the use of western, red and aromatic cedar as these have a powerful flavour which can ruin your cigars.

The site below expands on the above

western cedar, red cedar, and/or aromatic cedar
western cedar, red cedar, and/or aromatic cedar
