Oh what to smoke?

So you've bought a fiver or a tenner or a box or a half wheel or gone deep! Once you've broken into a particular set and it's good to go, do you go at it till it's gone?

I tend to, but then this is only with small batches from the singles collection. I've not really broken into boxes and probably won't for a while yet, so I'm wondering what you boxers do.

If you have a singles and box collection, do you mostly smoke from the singles? This is me and I tend to top it up as I go!

I'm never going to get to the boxes am I...?

Oh for to have a couple of hours to enjoy a cigar or two every day!

I like to smoke my singles but I now break into a new box once or twice a month. If I have multiple boxes of the same cigar it isn't much of a problem for me to do so. If I only have one box it can be tough. I would say that I have broken into around 20% of my boxes now. When I smoke it's 50/50, half come from boxes and the other half come from my singles stash. I also have recently started to smoke singles that I probably wont get new ones off, discontinued cigars, old LEs or REs. I thought to myself that they have to be smoked one day as I won't take them with me to my grave so why not start now.

Well I've got to pack for a break. And o don't think I can break into boxes. I've mostly one box of stuff.

So I'm sure I'll give the singles a good hit. Hopefully have a selection a bit later tonight.

Another trouble is stuff being hidden under stuff. I'm thankful to have full humidors. But I also can't be arsed to go rummaging. So let's see what's accessible.

Here's the holiday smokes. I was actually surprised just how many large RG cigars I have.

Will run out again as we're going for a couple of weeks. Will be on the Toscanos again I expect! No room to pack any more. This fills up a larger and smaller travel humidor case.

I smoke my singles, until my boxes are suitably aged & then crack the box. I never just work through a box once opened, usually only having a couple a year. So an open boxvcan last 10yrs, crazy really.
I still have 50 cabs on the go that I bought in 2006. Box of 25 Party No2's from 2007, bought that year & around 10 left. It's the curse & blessing of buying far more than you smoke.
The exceptions include ERDM DT's, R&J Pan's & box of Cuaba Divinos that I brought in Vigo last year & only have a dozen left.

I like to crack the odd box, but only once I?m out of the singles of that kind! I usually take out a fiver and put it in my desktop humi and keep it going with a few different boxes.

It?s a nice feeling once it?s cracked, hard to do for the first time though!

Great selection on the holiday smokes! That?s probably my lot for the past year! I need to up my game!
