P2 pitched after half a boring smoke!

This wee quai d'orsay secreto cubano on the other hand is delicious!

Needless to say the other 23 shall be having a looooooooong nap. Not the rum. That?s not going to last at all!
Thanks for the advice (and of course the cigar) I?ll put it away and let it rest until next summer, then I?ll let you know how they are coming on

Its funny you should mention Bumbu rum, i?d never heard of it until it came up in conversation today. We?re having a work night out that is starting in a rum bar (they have 215 variaties on the menu!) and I?ve been advised to try this, apparently it tastes like bananas.

I’ll look forward to your thoughts on it next year!

Now that sounds like a great bar!! I read elsewhere that people get prominent banna (oh, Matron!) but for me it’s Vanilla at the fore, and Carmel spices on the finish. Love it, very smooth to drink. Some would say too smooth

I would say it has a lot of wood flavours now, with a background sweetness that’s more like dried fruit. You can tell these beauties will age a treat, and thanks to a Gent in Paris, I have a couple of boxes to see the years ahead!

Nice. Try a Ron Millionario Solera 15 Reserva if they have it. It?s one of my favourite rums

Oh and being a Cuban tapas bar it also has a cigar menu, although at ?50 for a Siglo iv I?ll be bringing my own or not smoking. Would be a great herf venue if we ever had one in Sheffield.

a prominent banana I?ll resist all the jokes that come to mind, it would be too easy. Your description sounds even more delicious, I?ll definitely be trying one or two

I will do Mike, pretty sure I saw quite a few Ron Millionario on the menu.

Maybe this warrants a thread of its own for suggestions?

I?m pretty sure that you?ll like it.

                        I believe that there?s a Rum thread.

Definitely let me know your thoughts on the venue, I agree it sounds like a perfect herf spot!!

As MLW thought it too good an evening to stay indoors I got to smoke this Carillito which was way better than the big SLR, loads more flavour.
