Thought I'd give the bolivar liberator I bought recently a try.

Very powerful start. A review claimed it's the strongest Cuban in production at the moment and the start seems to confirm that. Salty start with loads of power. Looking forward to see how this will develop.

Today I tried another cigar from Boutique Cigars, the Kafie 1901 Cigars Ecuador Sumatra Toro Bello. Another handsome stick with a smooth fine wrapper that had no discernible scent. I didn't cut this before lighting but sniffing the foot gave me a hint of pepper on my nose. Fortunately that was the last of it as this was a mild and smooth cigar throughout. It was very well packed with a Cuban style drawer and lasted about ninety minutes as promised on the site. The burn line was razor sharp and the ash was dense wheres the torpedo yesterday had flaky ash. I didn't get any flavour notes from this except pleasant mild tobacco. Again this is a very good value cigar, buy it if you like the Mag 50 and want a cheaper alternative.
