If I open a bottle of my Sauternes I’ll go for a VR DA or RAG.

Came here to say this. Good wine + good cigar = win.

Interesting analysis from the responses and lots of ideas too boot.

Basically everyone has different tastes and some people are more willing to experiment than others [emoji16]

I think I may finally have this CAD under control...

I think this sums it up to be honest. Everyone's taste is different it's really down to what you enjoy most.
I personally love a nice red wine with a cigar but also love a nice beer or rum... the list goes on it's all subjective.
That said I have a particular preference for Italian red wines with cigars something like a good amarone works well..

I do enjoy a big bold red with a Cuban cigar. Never really got on with a NC and red wine though oddly enough.

Likewise. Of late though I've had a little port to accompany.

Champer's with ERDM DT or PL's, Reds with Boli's & RA's, for every other Havana start with black coffee (Cuban if possible) & then a Belgian beer. Pairing Belgium Beers with Havana's is a subject on it's own & one I am sure we have covered before.

Simon have you ever tried one of the Imperial style Ales from Edmundsen with a cigar - their “dessert in a can” ales are a perfect match with Cubans
